Why imagine that your feet are heavy? Many people report that as they become more relaxed, they feel heaviness in parts of their body. So, one way to help us relax is to imagine experiencing that heaviness.
How to perform the Heavy Feet technique. Just imagine that your feet and legs are getting heavier and heavier with each breath out. It's almost as if you are wearing lead boots. Say to yourself, “My feet are getting heavy.“ Just imagine this for a while with each exhale. Or, perhaps imagining heaviness in some other part of your body works better for you. It is best to perform this technique while seated.
